CIM²AS is excited to announce that our summer 2021 interns have been chosen! Out of a pool of excellent candidates from UIC and outside colleges, 8 wonderful students were picked to join our program this summer. They will be involved in planting milkweed throughout the city and surrounding suburbs and monitoring them for Monarch activity. Their findings will be presented by them in mid-August. They will also be involved with dialogues developed specifically for our program by UIC’s Latino Cultural Center. We also have some new activities we will be starting with this year’s cohort, including a blog, podcast, and book/journal club.
Adhering to covid-19 guidelines and keeping our students safe is our number one priority, for this reason, the number of participants in all of our events and activities will determine whether they are in person or virtual.
